As you would expect, our home page is mainly navigational, presenting some simple options to get to the major places within your account.

If you have more than one account, there’s a menu to choose which one to work with.

We provide links to your recent mailshots, a downloadable pdf manual and a system status report, showing all the latest news of updates and features.

Templates

Smartmessages provides two template mechanisms – one suited to those happy with HTML, the other for those who are happier with a word-processor-style point and click interface.

Our templates page is for the former – Here you create your emails, both html & plain text. If you have already built your email then paste it in or import it from a URL.

Connect up the contacts data using snippets of code so that all recipients get personalised emails.

We provide a great collection of tools to check that your email is valid, error-free, looks right and works properly.

Contacts

Smartmessages is built around the concept of contacts, each of whom may appear on more than one mailing lists – we only count contacts once, and you can have as many lists as you can cope with!

The contacts page is where you control all your list activity, list creation, uploading and downloading the contacts to and from individual lists.

If you want to allow people to subscribe to a list, there is a link with a form containing the relevant information.

You can downoad lists and additional info such as bounce and unsubscribe lists.

Account-wide information shows overall stats for your account, and there are some simple forms to help you remove unhappy subscribers from your lists.

Mailings

Take control of all your mailshots on our mailings page. Create and copy mailings, watch their progress, check reports and see their status.

We show you what you’ve been doing for the last month so you don’t get swamped in history (some of our customers send hundreds of mailshots a month!), but you can always get to older data.

Reporting

We provide comprehensive overview and detail reports for your mailshots.

All this data can be downloaded to a spreadsheet to create management reports.
